(from Google)Quiet and peaceful park. Lots of docks and easy trails. Nice picnic shelters as well.
The short's baskets need attention. They're grey, missing flags and nearly impossible to see unless you're already familiar with the course. But the course itself is a technical BEAST, awesome and a lot of fun! The most intense changes in elevation in the 757. A must play for any disc golfer
This is a very beautiful park. There are numerous trails of varied difficulty. The one I walked was about 1.5 miles and medium on difficulty. Lots of pretty views of the lake although the trail went through wooded area. Lots of tree roots and a couple medium inclines and declines. A harder trail goes to a lookout. They also allow non motorized boats and fishing. You can bring your own boat or rent one on site. Not sure of cost? I visited late October and it was very beautiful!
Our first visit to this park, and it was GREAT! From the moment we arrived, we saw wildlife everywhere- to the nest of baby birds at the Boathouse where we paid for parking (only$2!!!), to the multiple toads, turtles, snakes and skinks we saw on the Nature Trail. The trails are very clearly marked, and there is great signage throughout the park. There are bathrooms available at the Boathouse as well as a small store with snacks and boat rentals. I was impressed with the many tables and benches available along the trails, and we took advantage of one for our picnic lunch.
Absolutely amazing. Beautiful views. Rented kayak for 2 hours with my daughter, very relaxing, was only like $14 and $2 for parking. Staff is very friendly and helpful, clean bathrooms. Nice little playground and bridges with nice views. Trails, store, little library, picnic areas. Def worth the trip.
