Underground Reptiles (Retail Store)

I went into Underground Reptiles recently to potentially purchase another reptile, and while I have to say they have a great selection of reptiles and supplies, my experience with one of the staff members was really disappointing. The woman with pink hair who assisted me was incredibly rude and came across as very judgmental. I had originally purchased my bearded dragon elsewhere and wasn’t properly informed about the importance of a UVB light at the time. When I came in, she told me my bearded dragon likely has metabolic bone disease, which was already upsetting to hear—but instead of approaching the situation with empathy or helpful guidance, she made me feel irresponsible and talked down to me. She did briefly mention what I should get, but there was no effort to actually guide me through the process or ensure I understood how to properly care for my pet moving forward. Instead, the conversation felt dismissive and harsh, and at one point she even told me my bearded dragon was going to die, which was extremely difficult to hear in that tone. I came in looking for support and education. While I appreciate being informed about important care needs, the delivery matters. A more compassionate and informative approach would have made a huge difference

I ordered a southern black widow and I received a red widow it was labeled as a southern black widow they are being very slow at answering me telling me there confused an haven't offered any way to fix it . still waiting for someone to actually talk to me. Up date It took them a week they are working on making it right. No issues with the red widow she looks very healthy. Update!! The red widow was old apparently and has passed she ate good and was active an drinking. And they didn't have a southern black like I wanted so they settled on sending me a brown widow 3 months ago it had overnight shipping and it took a week to arrive.

This review is for my experience in store. I know next to nothing about reptiles but I’m a big plant and nature lover. Last week, a tortoise found its new home at my house… I had a hard time find good info online, specifically related to outdoor living for our environment, here in South Florida. I went into the store to ask questions from a local. The owner, Ryan, let me pick his brain and ask a million questions and was super helpful. I showed him a video and explained my situation and he gave me all the advice I needed in order to make sure I was well prepared to take care of him/her. Thank you!

Amazing place full of beautiful, well designed enclosures. Nice assortment of animals at reasonable prices. Staff was friendly and a lot of fun to joke with. This will be my new place to go for supplies instead of Amazon or big box stores.

We are so pleased with our baby yellow bellied sliders 3-pack! Initially there was an issue with UPS and when I called to report the delay, Underground Reptiles was already on it. They even made special arrangements for our package to be delivered on Saturday so they didn't have to be shipped back to the store and reshipped on Monday. Our turtles arrived healthy and active. They are absolutely adorable! I have already recommended Underground Reptiles to friends and family. They were easy to work with and we got exactly what we paid for. Thank you Underground Reptiles!
