The water is absolutely a beautiful blue and see through at first. My girlfriend and I had an amazing experience here
Calm waters and calming atmosphere. I definitely recommend in the off season.
Good luck. Summer time parking is a good joke to tell everyone back home about, get there early I guess, or just walk to it like we did... Getting in and out is comical too. Just park a few streets from it, there's of street parking not to far if you keep your eye out for it. Lock it up too, if I only had time to share a few experiences. The minute you take your eye off your belongings, they are no longer yours. It will happen that quick. Plan your Beach trip according.
It's sad to still see the damage along the south end of Garden City
