Dove Valley Regional Park

We come for the really great bike park which is both for kids and adults and it's adjacent to a really cool dog park with separate areas for smaller dogs and larger ones. There's also plenty of other things to do there. There's a kids playground, a huge field, and I'm sure much more that we haven't seen. There's some honey buckets too if that's your thing!

Great! Open spaces with lots of paths for walking, baseball and soccer fields, bike park, dog parks. I go to walk my dog. So for me these are the pros and cons: PROS: The park itself has tons of open space & paths to walk. The dog parks (large & small) are very well kept and clean. CONS: NOISE SENSITIVITY- I live by Buckley AFB, my dog doesn't like the sound of the aircraft. This park is by Centennial airport- much quieter, however, there is a lot of construction surrounding the whole park. So depending what's going on it can be loud or noisy. DOG PARK- while very nice areas and clean, they are gravel with sidewalks that go around them. My dog loves to fetch so I need grassy areas to throw and bounce his ball. Luckily, I walked him on the paths to do his business, then we went to one of the baseball fields and played fetch.

An incredibly well put-together park! The dog park had separate areas for large and small dogs (+/-30 lbs was the guideline) and both areas were large and well-maintained. Finding it was difficult. I've posted a park map below for reference,but you can't follow the regular directions posted. You have to enter through the main park entrance and follow the main road to the right. But it's worth the effort! Once we got there, there was penty of seating at picnic benches w/ awnings, and baggies were also provided. Only slight negative was no public restrooms nearby, but I believe there are some throughout the general park if needed

Nice, new park with restrooms and a water fountain with a water bottle refill feature. Fun structures to climb, swings, and picnic tables. However, there won't be much shade for a good 10 years or so while the trees grow up. Worst of all, the... people... who designed the park put the parking lots ACROSS the street from the playground, forcing kids to walk across the street to get to the playground, AND they failed to put a fence between the playground and the street. As we drove up, a ball rolled into the street with a small, oblivious-to-traffic kid running after it. They have two drop-off areas, so parents with two parents can drop off kids, but even one of the drop off areas are across the street! Seriously? This is a terrible lack of vision about what people need for a city park. THINK, city planners. THINK!
