(from Google)Chill vibes at Kellogg Park. Tons of open space, beautiful trees, cool playground, easy beach access. Great for hanging out or picnics. We sat under the trees and painted!
It is a fantastic beachside spot perfect for families, kids, and dogs. Located steps from the Ocean, it offers amenities that make a day trip easy and fun. You'll find plenty of benches, restrooms, and convenient wash-off showers to quickly rinse away the sand before you leave.
This playground is probably one of the best in the area, especially considering that La Jolla is all about beaches, so playgrounds are quite rare here. It offers a variety of attractions for kids of all ages, including a sandpit, swings, and structures for little kids and bigger kids. The location is convenient, close to restrooms and restaurants. However, parking can be incredibly difficult to find, and the line to the restroom can get extremely long.
ended up here by accident while looking for the city park located north of Kellogg Park but ended staying here for the gentle ocean waves, ability to wade in the ocean, and food from restaurants nearby. love the outdoor showers and restrooms. this is a very busy beach ⛱️ so parking may be best to park in nearby neighborhood.
Great family beach! Clean, there's a bathroom and free parking. I went around 5:30p on a Wednesday and got parking right away. I'm sure it gets more crowded and might be harder at other times. Bring a blanket, some food and an umbrella for shade and you'll be set all day. I didn't see a place to get food, so if you make it a day trip, I do recommend bringing some.
