(from Google)My cornbread was stale, the pieces of corn were hard and dehydrated. Pieces of tendon in every bite of the pulled chicken. Collards must’ve had 3 tablespoons of salt in each serving. Definitely a miss this time. Mac was good tho and vinegar sauce was amazing per usual.
Today, either due to my incompetence or sheer luck on the part of 'The Smoke Pit', I went looking for Longhorn but ran into this wonderful restaurant. Bekah was an exceptionally kind, gracious, and friendly bar tender. I was unsure whether to get the banana pudding or sweet potato pie, so I purchased both. The Texas brisket had a unique texture to it and the taste was so savory, it almost didn't require barbecue sauce. The green beans had a tasty seasoning mix entrenched in it, and the macaroni and cheese was better than you would find in most establishments. As for the banana pudding, it was devine. The sweet potato casserole still had a string or two in it but the taste more than made up for this oversight. I highly recommend others journeying to this establishment. To me, the food was just as good, if not slightly better, than Longhorn Steakhouse.
The food was absolutely amazing and would you look at the portion sizes!!!! The ribs and BBQ were absolutely amazing. The homemade greens and baked beans had the pork in it as well. The cornbread and drizzle of honey on top and just melted in your mouth. So much leftover we made 2 more plates out of everything. Will most definitely go back!!!
I just fell in love with this place, so far the best place if you want to grab something to eat..Better come real hungry 😋 🙌 ♥️ Because I promise you when you do and you eat, you'll be so full when you leave and plus you'll take a good portion home with you for about 3 days! That's a promise! And on Wednesday's you get 3 sides with your 2 choices of meat..I chose pulled pork & BBQ leg quarter 😋 and their sweet potato casserole is dee-licious, and their Kicking Greens, sure enough will knock your shoes off and their Texas toast is very tasty as well..For 16$ b4 3pm is the best deal I've seen yet, plus even after 3pm it's 23$ but like I said earlier, you get your monies worth, also their smoked turkey will have you gobbling for real, melts in your mouth, so tender and juicy..I could go on & on..Please give them a try if you want a good lunch or supper! The Price is Right!
Arrived around 4:30 on a Sunday afternoon. We were seated underneath a very cold draft of AC, the waitress seemed happy to move us. When I placed my order for brisket and ribs, the waitress advised they were already out of brisket and ribs, seems kind of early in the day for that to happen. Although this was posted on a small white board at the entrance (posted at childs’ eye level) the host/hostess should have mentioned it when we were seated. My wife ordered the pulled chicken, macaroni and cheese, and cornbread. I ordered the two meats of pulled pork and sausage, bbq beans, cheesy hash browns, and hush puppies. Everything was delicious, and the portions were huge! We could barely finish half of our meals. The only issue was the bottles of the various sauces were sticky and required opening with a paper towel. Every one of those should be cleaned by staff with a clean wet cloth each time a table is cleared. Still, would definitely recommend, and bring a huge appetite.
