(from Google)Toast is an awesome place for breakfast or lunch. Food is great, atmosphere is perfect. On busy days parking is a little tough but still totally worth it. The crab hash and onion rye are my go too breakfast. Amazing.
The food is exceptional here, as well as the warm drinks. It is tasty and well seasoned. The cooks really put effort into making these dishes genuinely good However, the service does not display the same energy. It was quite disappointing, it did not feel welcoming. The younger workers displayed a strange attitude. I was there with my mother and girlfriend, we were not offered water or condiments, meanwhile I observed at the other tables they were very attentive to the customers needs. Not sure what was the difference that we couldn’t get the same… hopefully this constructive criticism can help make changes in the service so the experience can be fully met…
I have grown to love Toast. Their attention to detail and superior customer service won me over. I'm notorious for ordering customized meals (I have to keep an eye on my blood sugar, and I have some food sensitivities); they've managed to stick the landing every time. I especially like that they cover each other's tables; getting your order is more important than whose table it is. You also never wait a ridiculous amount of time for your meal, no matter how crowded they are. The food is good, with a varied menu and fresh ingredients. Fresh salads, fresh, perfectly cooked eggs, crispy tacos, uncomplicated guacamole, mildly spiced chorizo, fresh beef. I rotate between the omelette and the breakfast taco, though I have to say they also make delicious salads with house made vinaigrette (at least it tastes house made to me). An important feature for me is I can have a private conversation! No loud talking or loud music! Parking is around back and fills up quickly because they share it with another eatery. But there is nearby street parking that I only resorted to once (I usually go during off peak times). Toast will become even better over time; they have new management so they're upgrading the premises making the place look better bit by bit. Go to Toast, you're going to love it or eventually love it. Either way, you won't regret it.
This place was great. Right around the corner front the hotel we stayed at. It was busy but we were able to sit at the bar and enjoy a delicious meal. My wife got the garlic Thai eggs with home fries and sourdough toast. The toast was exceptional! The home fries were also delicious. The bacon was perfectly crispy. The service was great fast and friendly. Would love to come here again and try more dishes. We were upset we noticed the chalkboard specials after we ordered so keep a look out for that.
One of my favorite breakfast/brunch spots. Have been going here for years and actually miss their vegan hot chocolate they used to have. It was luscious...nonetheless their menu is extensive, portions are generous and everything is delicious. Plus if you pay cash you can get a 10% discount. Win!
