(from Google)Elizabeth has been an incredible resource to help with our anxious and reactive dog. We have learned management strategies and training strategies that have been invaluable in helping both our dog and our humans, thrive. Elizabeth was incredibly kind and supportive, easy to talk to, and knowledgeable. She never made us feel like we did anything wrong, and we have had a few experiences with dog trainers that were not as positive. She provided us with many resources and while we still have work to be done, we have the tools to continue working on it. Thank you!!!
We had a wonderful experience working with Elizabeth. She helped us successfully transition a rescued Pyre-doodle into a home with our existing and previously rescued Great Pyrenees. She also helped us address our Great Pyrenees's reactive behaviors. All sessions were conducted via Zoom and were very effective. Elizabeth was responsive, listened carefully to our concerns, and provided practical, easy-to-implement strategies. We especially appreciated the detailed notes and helpful resources she shared after each session. Her guidance made a huge difference in our home. We now have 2 dogs that move about our home with no issues. They love to go on walks together and can be seen playing outside together. We’re so grateful for her services.
Elizabeth is wonderful to work with. I came to her for help with my dog Miss Bean, and some of her barking and leash challenges. Like many guardian-type dogs, she can be a bit stubborn on lead, and Elizabeth showed me practical ways to gently redirect her while walking so we can stay connected and move together. She also gave me some practical tips to address Miss Bean’s barking. This was actually a refresher appointment for me, as I had forgotten some of the techniques we had previously worked on. Elizabeth gently walked me back through how to implement them, which was incredibly helpful and encouraging. What I appreciated most about Elizabeth’s approach is her focus on positive reinforcement and relationship-building. She encourages owners to interact with their dogs in ways that create a safe space for learning while still allowing them to be dogs and live their best lives. The guidance she provided felt supportive, practical, and respectful of both Bean and myself.
Working with Elizabeth has seriously changed our lives! Our reactive Pyr mix rescue makes going for walks and having people over a pretty frustrating experience and Elizabeth has given us the tools to make both those things MUCH more enjoyable (and safe) for everyone. She is incredibly thoughtful in her recommendations making sure they fit seamlessly into our lives. So much of our previous dog training felt high pressure and like serious work - like if I couldn’t find 2 hours a day and capture behaviors at precisely the right time I’d completely fail. Instead, Elizabeth’s methods work training into the everyday moments so we can make real progress without getting discouraged. Our life with our pup is now full of much more joy and freedom in no small part due to Elizabeth!
My husband and I reached out to Elizabeth for help with our 3 year old Great Pyrenees rescue Gus- we discovered her through her featured episode on "The Bitey End of the Dog" podcast, and were pretty desperate for help addressing our pup's behavioral issues. In tandem with our vet behaviorist, working with Elizabeth virtually has made a world of difference! She is so knowledgeable about livestock guardian dogs. Our virtual sessions have helped my husband and I understand what Gus is trying to communicate to us, and how we can work to meet his needs and create a more harmonious household for all of us! I'm so grateful for our sessions with her and for the vast knowledge and resources she provides. Being able to send videos to Elizabeth so she can see our dog's behavior is super helpful! Elizabeth is positive, honest, and solutions-oriented, and I can't express enough how much we value having her on our "team" working to get Gus/our household to a better place. She really listens and takes time to watch our videos and provide thoughtful suggestions/responses. Her experience with her own dogs allows her to provide really helpful anecdotes, too. We look forward to continuing our training with her!
