The Den Paw Spa

I was walking my Shih Tzu in Balboa Park one day and ran into an impeccably groomed cavapoo. I asked the owner who groomed her fur child and she raved about this place. I booked an appointment and have been coming every couple of months for almost a year now. My dog ALWAYS comes home looking and smelling wonderful…but best of all he is always super happy after his grooming! Try it, you’ll like it!

Julia is the best! I have been taking my cockapoo, Kennedy, to her for over four years now. Even weeks after she is groomed, people stop me to compliment her cut and remark that it looks like she was just groomed. Kennedy was attacked when she was little, so she can be trepidatious and feisty around unfamiliar dogs, but Julia has always handled her with aplomb. Additionally, she is always very thorough and discovered that my pup needed some teeth removed. You can rest assured that your dog is in great hands. Lastly, Julia is a great listener and always grooms Kennedy to my specifications. Truly, we would be lost without her!

Look no further, The Den Paw Spa is the BEST! Julia, thank you so much for your patience and for taking care of my Mason. He was quite shaggy when I dropped him off and now he looks like a new boy! My dog is a rescue and I'm usually pretty nervous about leaving him in others' care, but Julia is such a professional and provides excellent service - truly the best groomer. We'll see you guys soon!

Julia does a great job with my cat, Zoey! I have come to her for lion cuts and Zoey feels very comfortable at The Den Paw Spa, so I highly recommend trying them out. It’s hard to find a cat groomer you can trust, and I definitely trust them.

My pup doesn't require a lot of maintenance, so it seemed a little excessive to take him to a dog spa. But I appreciated that The Den charges lower rates for little guys. Julia definitely loves what she does and the place has an awesome neighborhood vibe. So glad they are close by! We will be regulars.
