The Good Dog Yorktown

We have had the best experience with Katie and Morgan at the Good Dog! Our dog has been in classes with them for the last 7 years! We started with puppy obedience and continued all the way to advanced 2, handsfree, and therapy certification. He has also enjoy doing agility and nose work! We absolutely love their method of training and our dog loves going to class.

We have brought our dog here for basic obedience and we learned so much. We can better communicate with our dog and have built a fun training relationship with the help of the trainers at the Good Dog. They really help you understand how dogs think! We also did a single day of agility and managing multiple dogs class. Both left us with actions we could take home and were super informative.

We have been taking classes here since 2022 and have learned so much. It keeps our two very active Australian Shepherds enriched. In addition to obedience, they have great agility, nose work and trick training classes that our dogs love. They are always excited when we start getting close to the building. They also offer outdoor classes that allow you to gain experience in real world situations and explore new places around the city. Amber, Katie and Morgan are all great trainers and we have been nothing but happy with all of our classes. HIGHLY recommend!

For the last year, I've been raising a puppy. My goal is for her to eventually become my service dog. The help and guidance I've received from Katie, Morgan, Emily, and Amber has been essential to taking my little girl from a crazy puppy, to a well behaved dogg. They've helped me improve not only my dog's confidence but my confidence in handling her as well. Their service is AWESOME.

The Good Dog Yorktown has been amazing! I’ve taken both of my dogs there and have seen such a big difference. Bruno used to pull on the leash and not listen very well, but after training here, he walks calmly next to me and listens so much better. It’s made walks so much easier and more fun. Luna had a tough time with focus, food motivation, and confidence. We started with the Basic Agility class, and it helped her so much. She’s more confident now, more engaged, and actually enjoys training. We’re now in the Advanced Agility class, and she’s like a whole new dog! She can do obstacles off-leash with just a few small reminders. The trainers are super friendly and really care about helping your dog. I’m so glad I found this place!
