(from Google)My dog was never afraid of the vet until I brought her here. I don't know what they did to her, but suddenly they "mandated" sedatives before future appointments, when she has always been perfectly fine with other vets in the past. They spent 27 whopping minutes with her, completely disregarded the root issue of the open wound I brought my dog in for, couldn't even be bothered to put Neosporin on it, and were rude and dismissive when I tried to advocate for my dog to get actual care. Not once did I ever speak to the actual vet, not once was I allowed to be present for my dog's care, the whole situation is sketchy and then they just hand you the bill at the end. Never, ever again.
I’ve been bringing my dog to Family Animal Hospital for the past five years, and I can’t say enough good things about Dr. J and the entire team! My dog used to be terrified of going to the vet, but ever since we made the switch, she’s been doing so much better. Dr. J is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and approachable—it’s clear she truly cares about every pet she sees. The staff is always welcoming and efficient, and they do their best to get us in and out quickly, which I really appreciate. I trust them completely with my pup’s care and feel so lucky to have found this place!
Really weird experience trying to make an in room visit appointment. They prefer drop offs. A $50 deposit to hold the appointment is required- not a big deal and was happy to pay it until they said to reschedule or cancel they require 1 WEEKS notice or the deposit would be non refundable. So pretty much I would book the appointment today and if I needed to reschedule after tomorrow (1 week from the appointment) I would lose my deposit....? That's a first. And a really strange business practice. I fully intend to get my pet to her vet check, but requiring a full weeks notice to reschedule an office visit shouldn't put their office in such a difficult position they'd have to retain $50 for their trouble. One weeks notice is a first for sure! 🤣 And a huge red flag. They REALLY don't want to book in person appointments. They want you to dump your pet off so they don't have to deal with people I guess? I don't like most people either I'll be honest. But cmon.
I will be forever grateful to Dr. Lori Jaramillo for her guidance and support during a time of stress for me and my pet, Belle Belle. Belle Belle was going blind when placed under my foster care at age 18 with many emergent and chronic health issues including dry eye resulting in corneal ulceration, a cracked nose due to serious respiratory disease, dental abscess that hampered her ability to eat causing malnutrition, etc. Dr. Jaramillo and her associate devised and oversaw a get-well plan for Belle Belle that got her healthy and happy again until she developed oral cancer. I relied on Dr. Jaramillo to provide advice on how to proceed at this difficult time and she made all the right decisions that gave Belle Belle another 7 months of superior comfort and care which was amazing considering her age and health issues. When we made the decision to put down Belle Belle, I was at peace knowing we did the best for her and had no regrets. I still have 3 pets under Dr. Jaramillo's care and am relieved and comforted with the thought that with her guidance, I could allow my dogs to live out their life until it's their turn to go to heaven without needless suffering.
Best vet clinic around! I have 2 very large sensitive dogs and the staff is amazing with them. Ive been to many vets over the years and Dr. Jaramillo is hands down the best and prices can't be beat. Thank you Dr. Jaramillo and staff
