Beautiful trails! Very scenic and very well groomed for hiking with your dog! Bring water for you and your dog. There are no rest rooms. There are many trails to discover. Forest, open meadows, cattle grazing, creeks, open grass areas, wooded parkland. Met nice people hiking.

Very pleasant trails for hiking or mountain biking. Mild to moderate so it’s pretty easy to get back to Inspiration Point if you’re in ok shape. A couple of the trail marker signs were not placed well, but most were very easy to find and follow. We went in mid-May and the temperature was perfect! Plenty of parking, though we got confused cuz there’s a small lot just outside the gate, but there’s a much bigger lot a short drive up the trail through the gate. It was our first visit so we didn’t know if we could drive in or not, but even parking outside it was maybe a five minute walk in. Loads of redwoods, live oaks, and manzanita trees. Only one Porto potty is the lone downside and that’s not even that bad.

Went on a weekday and we were the only hikers out. With the recent rains the area was lush and even had a full pond. Trails were a mixed bag, some super easy and some quite steep with bad footing. Nice view points.

I give this 3 stars bc, the downhills are very short although technical and it is very hard to ride here w/o constantly opening your map. Either go w a local or ride w your phone on your handlebars. There are so many offshoots from every trail that it is impossible to know where to go. Some are not even on trailforks. Had to stop sometimes every 50 yards and pull up the map. It got a little annoying. Easy to climb to the top but if you cant bomb down, there is little point to the ride, imo.

Pacific Union College Forest is a great place to go hiking to mountain biking. There are multiple trails and great scenery. It is a bit of a hidden gem, but well worth a visit.
