Good tips on top & some bs under it...Rock hard pieces & something burnt looked like a tip of a sausage.....somethin goin on in the kitchen....even it is early....YOU dont sell old leftover food....it should b very fresh is further more why I asked for sauce on the side......$26 for that.....really ?....is this what you are teaching your kitchen workers
I wanted to love this place. I treated my nephew to this restaurant for his birthday. He had seen tiktok videos of their brisket fries and wanted to try them. When we walked in the 1st sign should have been the 4 customers to the 7 employees gossiping at the bar. I was extremely disappointed in the food quality. We ordered 1 of every item on the "Happy Hour" menu. The Brisket Fries, was subpar at best. Who puts beans in chili to be served over fries? NO ONE!!! The hotlink sandwich, was another bust. The plastic knife given wasn't strong enough to cut the casting. You had to stab the knife in, then cut. It gave the taste of plain "Bar M" link, not a hotlink at all. Everything was just ok at best, a horrible attempt at Texas BBQ. Oh and I know watered down Pits BBQ Sauce when I taste it. I called my foodie homie to ask if she's ever been. She stated when her friend worked here, the food was good. But since he left she hasn't returned. She asked if the owner was sitting outside in this SUV. I was like there was an SUV out front the entire time we were there. I assumed he was a rideshare driver. She laughed and said that's him. He never comes in, just sits out front. He needs to be inside managing his staff and supervising the food quality. Needless to say, I won't be going back
I recently went for lunch. I loved the bbq wings! 10/10 The macaroni & cheese was alright. It needed a little more salt, but I dipped it into my bbq sauce & that helped. 7/10 The potato salad was good. The potatoes were cut smaller than is prefer, and it was closer to being smooth than chunky. Again, that's just my preference to have it chunkier. 8/10 The service was good. 9/10 The prices are a bit high. I did spend around $30 (I also got a canned soda) & the sides weren't the largest. Would I return? Yes. They have lots of sides and options.
My wife and I have come to ' The Wood' for years and we're locals - we usually come after our Rams games @ SoFi as its close by on Market Street- atmosphere is terrific! Food excellent! Staff friendly and accommodating- mac & cheese which is popular these days is great! Usually I get ribs, but when they have smoked turkey legs - O-boy! My wife gets hot link on a bun. drinks are good & on my wife's bday last year they brought a complimentary drink (pictured) I mentioned to manager/owner? that the bathroom could use a little attention but that would never stop me from visiting 'The Wood'!
The Wood Barbecue in Inglewood is an absolute gem! The owner, Jonathan, is fantastic, and his staff truly makes you feel at home. Chris was super friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in, and our server April was an absolute sweetheart. She gave us amazing recommendations that did not disappoint. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with a side of potato salad and a mango Moscow mule. The drink was smooth and refreshing, not overly sweet, just right. The pulled pork was perfectly smoky, and the toasted buttery bread took it to the next level. We also shared the brisket fries, and wow… 10/10! Every bite was packed with flavor. If you’re in the area, this spot is a must-try for great barbecue, friendly service, and an all-around welcoming vibe.
