Dont bring your fur baby here. Id give zero stars if i could. My dog was brought in Wednesday for a urine sample that clearly showed under microscope red and white blood cells indicating infection. He was not prescribed antibiotics. Hes diabetic which infection makes blood sugar levels to sky rocket. Told to send off to a lab which takes a week before results. No doctor would ethically let a human go a week without treatment for a UTI/ bladder infection. They wanted another sample saturday morning which costs $200 alone like it did Wednesday. We tried calling the office several times for 2 days straight without any prescription. As his infection got worse and his blood sugar climbed. I dont know how anyone could sleep at night letting a patient even without diabetes go an entire week without treatment. Cruel and inhumane. Fox hollow did the same thing with a medication same day for the meantime before further week long testing.

I called to see prices before going to have my dog put down. Was told $150 to put down with not getting ashes back. Over $300 if I want the ashes back. I couldn’t afford the ashes back do planed on the $150. When I went to check out it was $150 plus a group cremation plus the meds they give to do the job. It turned into $335. At that point I was stuck, it wasn’t like I could undo the work, and they thought that should be total. Wish I knew the options before being told this is what we doing. Update, the office called me and apologized for the mix up. They have given me credit back on my card. Thank you for doing this.

This review is a warning to anyone thinking about bringing your pet to Kipling Animal Hospital. We all love our pets but we should also expect a professional environment when doing business with a vet office. The pricing at this place is way over the top. They line item things that you can buy at 1/3 of the price they charge. I had a wellness visit that cost over $700. Yes, there was some blood work, but in all my life this was by far over the top pricing. The place is old and outdated and it shows. The worst part is the actual owner, who I had the pleasure of speaking with due to a billing issue. While talking to him, he felt the need to say I was a bully, a thief and that he had a lawyer. Who starts calling their customer names when addressing a simple billing issue? I could not believe how I was treated, as he started asking if I ever used a credit card before or purchased anything? Nobody should be treated the way I was so take this as a warning. He also said that the call was recorded, and I hope it was as anyone who listens to it will see what a poor excuse for a business owner he is. Culture starts at the top and bleeds into your staff. I think its also illegal to record our conversation without my consent, but that recording will only show was a child the owner is. If you are looking for a good experience for you and your pet, I suggest you look at a different vet office. One look at their website and you will see what a joke this place is.

I've only had good interactions here. They take great care of my cat. I completely trust them and you can tell everyone there loves animals. Of course my cat doesn't like going there and would probably review the place much lower, but hey... she's a cat! I'm fortunate to have this place not far from my home.

Clean facility, friendly, professional staff. Our vet tech Jasper was very thorough going over our history as new clients before we met with the Dr. O'Connell. The doctor made sure to cover everything and answered all of our questions as well as making a few suggestions specific to our new location. Credit cards have an add-on fee of 2%, but checks are for the face amount. Cash is accepted, but only for the exact amount. They also provide Jefferson County dog licenses.
