(from Google)The water is the clearest I’ve ever seen in a lake. Unfortunately we walked up on someone’s kid fully exposed peeing on the beach. Not cool. I wish they allowed dogs, but there was an exclusion sign. It was a beautiful spot to spend a peaceful moment.
Beautiful beach! When I got there at 1030am on a Sunday in October, I was the only car. I love how easy the access is to the beach. Perfect place for a swim. One thing to note is that I saw a swarm of hornets in the sand.
Best Beach on Whiskeytown Lake. Peaceful (minus some music some people bring and can have loud at times). There is a protected swimming area with a rope and a nice area to float, it's my go to when I need to get away. There are a few shaded spots and the water is fairly clean as it isn't mud but crushes granite sand. Keep in mind it 99 steps down a more steep trail with some gravel. I personally like the exercise.
Beautiful lake on a summer day. Entrance fee is $25. The beach has several steps down to the water and there are two picnic tables and a bathroom. There isn't a lot of shade.
Great place, and its the gem no one really finds I heard from a few locals there I talked to. There is very clear water, that is cool but not to cold in September, and there are sailboats and motor boats at the marina on far end of the lake.
