Hacienda On The Lake

Nice location and venue. Had the hacienda chicken tacos. Food ok but nothing special and a bit expensive for type of food. Good portions but quality should trump quantity. Quite a few empty business spaces in what looks like a nice lake. Unfortunately, no places to walk on the lake , just a big parking lot. Not returning...

Great location. Wonderful lake views. Nice typical Mexican decorations. Very good service and food. Fish tacos and carnitas were excellent.

Was visiting my hairstylist at a new location and discovered this place. Love Mexican food, so looked forward to a new restaurant. Was warmly greeted. Per their invitation, walked around the place; it’s beautiful and huge. Outstanding views of the lake! Sat at bar for the beginning of their Happy Hour. Was immediately waited on. I accepted the offer for chips and salsa. The chips were so stale that they were unpleasant, the salsa seemed store bought and not delicious. Disappointing. I wanted to order a second glass of wine and the place was an employee ghost town. Disappointing. Eventually a random server collecting clean glasses just poured me a glass. Since the chips and salsa were so underwhelming I wasn’t motivated to order food. When I was finished with my drink, I again waited for anyone to check on me but no one did. Disappointing. I eventually asked the hostess to rescue me and then someone showed up to check me out. Being the honest lass that I am, I informed him I’d had two glasses because he didn’t have a clue. Honestly, I could have walked out and who knows when or if anyone would have noticed? Disappointing.

Beautiful views by the water. Lots of seating. The staff were kind and attentive. It’s not cheap but you pay for the atmosphere and views. The tacos were good though not very seasoned in my view.

We were able to sit by the lake and enjoy a nice meal with fresh breeze. The restaurant was not busy as we started our meal at 1pm. The service was not fast. Each course drinks with salsa and chips, appetizers, main course all came very long apart. So be sure to plan ample time for your meal. The food was very delicious and with the view. It was a great place to spend time with friends.
