(from Google)I’m rating it a 3 because nothing compares to Lake Michigan or Lake Superior & I give them a 5 star review. For an Ohio beach; this isn’t a bad spot to get some beach vibes. I also like that there’s a playground right next to a bar and taco place. So there’s a little bit close by and walking distance from the beach. The parking lot is nearby too. It’s not as clean as Michigan beaches which is why it’s a 3 and not a 5.
I found this place on accident, on my random roadtrip from Pittsburgh. It is absolutely beautiful! There's a little park for kids right by the beach, a couple of small lots to park in, and lots of open beach to sit or play on. There's a tavern right along the beach that has live music some nights; there's also two other small places to get food next door. It's all tucked away in this little space off to the side of the road, and it feels so far away from reality but it's not. The people there that I got to meet were so incredibly welcoming and friendly, too! I wasn't expecting it at all, especially because I'm the weird one with colored hair and tattoos. I normally feel out of place, but even the locals that lived in the houses along the beach were so genuine and kind to me. I definitely have this place saved as one of my favorite random lil spots to adventure to. There's the state park further down the road, but honestly, this little spot was more amazing in my opinion. Oh and people bring their dogs too- so if you don't like dogs, don't worry, they're super respectful and don't let them go carelessly. And if you DO love dogs, get ready to pet some of the cutest puppers!
Great beach. Life guard staff was pretty relaxed when we were there which was nice. The swimming area is pretty shallow so lots of fun for the kiddos but deep enough to be enjoyable for adults too. We really enjoyed it and will come back for sure.
The water was warm! I was so happy we stopped by! We stopped for the recreational Marijuana at the reserve and seen the signs for Lake Erie Beach! We certainly had to stop! You can camp near by. There is several food places. I recommend going here. It looks like the Ocean which I absolutely love!
On our way home from Niagara, I stopped off for a lunch on the beach and discovered this incredibly beautiful gem. It offers a shoreline of treasure consisting of driftwood, rocks, shells. At times, I was unable to tell the sky from the lake. With unlimited flat stones, I taught my children how to skip rocks by the bridge. It was the most lovely roadtrip stop I believe we have ever experienced.
