Petco

I’m not one to make bad reviews, but this PetCo store in Odessa is terrible. No one is readily available to assist customers by the fish section and had a problem with an in-store return. For one, personal questions of just buying feeder fish was inappropriate when their own fish do not look properly maintained. Second, we bought dog shoes that weren’t the right fit and it was under the 60 day window so we went today (5/22/26) to initiate a return. JOSIAH (the manager) and JOSH kept stating that this SPECIFIC store does not accept the 60-day window return and WE even showed a WRITTEN policy online how it is accepted. Josiah then said EXPLICITLY to not write a bad review about this. We then called customer service and they told us that it is accepted and it is not just for certain stores in the country or in Texas. So, why were we told otherwise? Even if this doesn’t help the situation, I think it needs to be shared how utterly INCOMPETENT and IGNORANT these employees are.

I purchased 2 guinea pigs from this store. They were never very active, didn’t eat a lot, didn’t make much noise. Then started to stay in one place in their cage and eat even less. I called the store and it was within 30 days so they told me bring them in. When I took them back, the man that helped us started to assume we did something to hurt them asking if their cage was big enough, asking if they fell off the bed or couch. I understand the questions, the tone was the off putting part and he was sounding like he was accusing us more than trying to get information. I asked what could be wrong with them and he said “they look fine to me” but I told him they weren’t fine. So he picked them up and started saying their bottoms are dirty and asked how often do you clean the cage in such a rude tone, again sounding like we are being accused of not taking care of them. I clean it weekly and I already explained to him that they would not move so if the urinated they were then sitting in it. We did nothing to hurt these babies. I tried to contact Petco as soon as I realized there was a a bigger issue and it wasn’t just them trying to get used to their new home. He asked if we wanted to get 2 more guinea pigs and I told him we don’t want anything from that store after being treated that way.

I went here a few weeks ago and had an appointment with Edward. He did let me know he couldn’t take my dog in because he seemed aggressive. He referred me to Wagging Tails that they deal with dogs like this. I kindly left and went to Wagging Tails were I was approached by someone which he was a male and said he loved what he did and he would attempt to groom my pet. After picking him up he said my dog was happy. Great. And would be glad for him to return. I regret wagging tails from this point forward. They love animals. They are great. I got my pet in a hour n half. I will never visit a petco.

PETCO 🗿👍 Just got some fish from here they are great! 🗿👍 Petco is definitely My favorite Pet store Petco is a good place if you want to get small animals like fish, hamsters, rats, etc.🐀🐦🐟🐢 Definitely good service, good supplies, good fish 👍 My only problem is that the things are a bit pricey, but everything else is good definitely come here if you want animals and food, I definitely recommend it if you want pets 👍🗿

Fantastic service!! We brought our dogs in to be groomed. The two employees working 1/20/25 were kind, helpful and caring. Our dogs are extra large and were probably quite a challenge to groom, but they came out happy and looking soo good!! We will definitely be back and suggest to other to go here for grooming.
