(from Google)Great place to see what Central Florida was like before all the commercial "attractions " came to the area. The trails are easy for all age and ability groups. It's a great place to rake your dog for a walk through the forest. The paddling trail offers a great place to see natural Florida and much of the wildlife indigenous to the area, including alligators, turtles, deer, wild turkeys, and many types of birds. You also get to see much of the natural flora as well as the fauna. There are several historical pioneer buildings here as well as signs with their history. You can rent kayaks here as well.
We stopped here on a whim, and we're very pleasantly surprised! So much wilderness to explore. They do have beautifully carved our trails, land bridges, and several paths, but we went exploring in the woods, the water is beautiful, tons of trees.. truly, it was great to disconnect and enjoy nature fully. The sign says they do kayaks and bikes, but another review said they hadn't brought bikes back since the hurricane. Worth calling first. If you in the area and need some nature, make a visit here!

We took a wonderful kayak trip. It was fun and beautiful. Our guide was very knowledgeable and safety minded. The bottles of cold water he gave out before and after the trip were greatly appreciated.
rented a kayak and spent the morning enjoying the nature with a few wildlife sightings here and there. Absolutely beautiful scenery with lots of shade from sun, overgrowth was very pretty and almost made us forget we were right inside an otherwise typically normal small town city block. Getting there early is ideal if you enjoy outings with quiet and secluded or are attempting to get some animal pictures. Very friendly staff, ample parking, clean bathrooms and overall space.
