Riverside Recreation

I had a great morning kayaking on the Tar River thanks to Riverside Recreation Rentals. I put in at Town Commons and paddled to Wildwood. I plan to paddle to Port Terminal next time I visit. Javon is the best! He set things up nicely and answered all of my questions. Lots of beautiful wildlife and scenery. I will be a repeat customer, be bringing friends, and recommending them to everyone!

My 14yr old son and I had a great time kayaking with Riverside Recreation. After a bit of a mix up with our reservation at the Town Common location, we launched at the Wildwood Park location, and enjoyed a nice paddle. We appreciated the shade from the beautiful trees along the side of the river.

We were visiting the area and looking for something fun to do. We were staying close to the Tar River so doing some Kayaking sounded cool. Javon and the team were great, the rentals were in good shape and the time on the river was relaxing. The free drone pictures were a fantastic surprise. They are a local family owned business. Thank you Riverside Recreation, we wish you many years of success.

Everyone we meet was friendly and knowledgeable. They were helpful and allowed us to take the time when we were kayaking on the tour. They even took pictures of us so we could have.

Thoroughly enjoyed my first time kayaking experience on the Tar River. Your staff is very helpful not only in the launch but also when you return the kayak. I rented a single kayak which was in excellent condition. Was amazed that you also provided a life vest and paddle at a very reasonable price. Loved the photos you shared via Air Drop. This is a first class operation and you can be sure I will be back with my family.
