Excellent trail when its not 90 + outside. It is very busy with bicyclists though. There is a dirt trail that breaks off and follows the River which has several deep water holes for the dog to jump and retrieve in. Just wish there weren't so many bicyclists so be careful with a leashed dog.

It's kind of a hidden gem... lovely trail to walk or bike on. Be wary of the biking path if you have kids or dogs with you- they go pretty fast on this trail. Easy, mostly level walking path with lots of access points to Clear Creek and great swimming for dogs and people alike. There are also 2 large ponds/lakes about 1-2 miles from this particular parking lot off kipling that are quite nice. Pathways encircle them, there are boardwalks that go through a lush marshy area. Plenty of birds and nature to admire. Overall, I could not reccomend it enough. A delight to the metro area we live in! Please respect it :)

Lovely access to nature in the city! Lots of ducks, hawks, and song birds. If you access via Kipling there is very little tree cover for the first 10 minutes or so, keep going and you'll find shade once you get near the creek.

This is arguably my dogs favorite spot to go to during the summer heat! Lou loves to swim in the creek. There is a perfect spot that feels like a gradual beach entrance which is his favorite spot to get in. A bit buggy so wear bug spray. There are shaded areas near the creek otherwise pretty open. The walk is about 7+ miles if you do the full track. I’ve done it alone with my pup many times and have seen many bikers and walkers, never felt unsafe. Highly highly recommend this spot for safe swimming for your pup in the summer heat!

A great little trail right off of Kipling! Perfect for dogs, kids and other humans of all ages. You pass some lakes where people fish and even an area for gold panning. We saw lots of flowers and birds and even a few lizards. There is a paved trail and a dirt trail that runs along the south side of the creek until West Lake.
