(from Google)A short drive into EL Yunque to experience a wonderful waterfall and swimming hole. Paid $5 to park. A short 2-3 minute walk from parking you be there. Entry down is steep and rugged. Wear water shoes. Search the bottom of the pond and you might find treasure. My husband lost his wedding ring.
Charco El Hippie is one of the most beautiful spots I’ve visited in Puerto Rico. The water is crystal clear, the scenery is straight out of a postcard, and the whole area has a peaceful, natural vibe that makes you feel like you escaped into your own little paradise. It’s perfect for swimming, relaxing, taking photos, or just enjoying God’s creation in its purest form. The short walk to the water is manageable, and once you get there, it’s completely worth it. If you’re visiting Puerto Rico or even if you live here, this place is a must-see. Highly recommend!
My husband and I had a great time. The water was so good. It was raining this day but not bad. The people are very nice there and very helpful. The food was good. I recommend this place I want to visit again 💯🇵🇷🙏❤️
We heard about this from our bartender the night before so we added this to out to do list for the trip - we are so glad we did. This place is a total hidden gem. Same experience - very rural drive ending in a super steep climb to a parking lot where a friendly man collected $5 and pointed up the short walk to the falls and ponds. They do have food and drink available sometimes, but I wouldn't count on this. Bring something to eat and drink. It is such a beautiful and rugged location and we went on a Monday and a couple left when we arrived, and another arrived when we left. We had the place to ourselves for an hour. Time for fun, and discovery and a few jumps in the water. I was again disappointed by the trash others had left behind even though the host provided a trash bag in the hut. Oh well. It was still amazing and I would come back again! I would recommend this for teenagers and above. If you can't hike and climb rock or swim some deep water you may not enjoy it much! I loved it! We got rained on in the sunshine! Lastly the leaving is even steeper going down the hill in the car! EEEEK ! AWESOME!
An amazing spot. So much natural beauty. The location takes you to a parking lot, you're charged $5 to park and then it's a short easy walk to the river that has a beautiful swimming hole, lots of rocks. The water is all different depths and has some currents so be careful. We met a man named chelo who was looking out for everyone's safety, he was great. Awesome experience.
