(from Google)Very scenic trail that is moderate to hard difficulty level. Take lots of water, comfortable shoes and a camera for pictures of the Weber Valley. Its dog friendly, family friendly, and great activities for mornings or afternoons.
Good parking area for trail access
Hard hike especially if you hike from the 22nd Street to the 12th Street trailhead and back - 9 miles. 2,000 foot elevation gain. Bring plenty of water, hiking poles and some kind of nourishment - I was getting very weak near the end. Saw one baby rattlesnake about 6 inches long. There are some great views.
A small trailhead at the top of 22nd Street to access the Rainbow Trail Loop, the Indian Trail, and the Bonneville Shore Trail, and connects to Taylor Canyon Trail. There is minimal parking, with narrow drives. There are no restrooms, and no drinking water points so plan ahead. The main trails are marked by sign posts, and small trail markers along the smaller trails. There is poison ivy along some trails so be careful.
Great access to "The Ledge" and Eagle Cave. Trails in great shape and uncrowded. Get high real quick and get stunning views of Fremont Island and South to the Great Salt Lake. Saw some deer. Be advised, if you are heading towards the Indian trail up the canyon, the trail is steep and very narrow. Not recomended for children. And please keep your dogs on a leash.
