(from Google)One of the few local areas left which represents how the Florida landscape used to be everywhere prior to all the development. Trails are walkable with some areas being moderately difficult. Lots of wildlife, native plant life, and peacefule.
Nice little park. Only a half dozen parking spaces, no restroom... Great for dog walking, a little fishing or pack a lunch and have a seat on one of the two picnic tables or the bench overlooking the creek...
Nice small trail you can go further but then it gets wild natural style, did .62 of a walk move inclines, views, and beautiful bamboo area. Great for kayaking will come back to try that.
Just wanted to comment on this lovely area. It's a hidden gem. Not very big, only 8 acres . But it's so beautiful that you have to see it for yourself. But I did take a few pictures for you all to see. There's not a lot of parking but because it's so secluded that's not a problem. Drive too fast, and you will miss the turn and be a turnpike feeder road. Very nice views and scenery.
Pretty nice walking trail. Google maps will take you to where you can park your car. There are limited parking spaces but I have never seen it full. Although the trail is near a major highway, it is still relatively quiet and peaceful to walk. The trail is well marked and easy to navigate although there are some areas that are a little rustic. For example, if you needed an assistive walking device, this trail would not be for you. Mosquitoes are not a problem, although there tend to be a few horseflies that might try to irritate you. The trail is fairly short. I would say it takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes to walk at a casual pace.
