I walked my dogs expecting some room for them stretch their legs but I had to cross the rivelet and all around the little space. More attractive than other neighborhood parks in Temple I've visited.

A beautiful October Day at the park! Had a great time in Salado, TX!

Nice neighborhood park. It's really not that big, maybe 12 acres or so. The wooden bridge over the creek is the crown jewel. It has a small dam creating a little waterfall under the bridge with a soothing gurgle. The little lake behind it has turtles, small fish, and the occasional water bird. Look up and around and you may see owls or hawks in the oaks and cottonwoods. Great place to take pictures as well. There is a decent trail that goes from the neighborhood pool around the perimeter of the park ending by the fire house on Airport and Apache, so it's not circular. The majority of the "park" is a wildlife area that left unkept, so there really isn't running space, dog runs, or fields for soccer. What area there is to the side is nicely dotted with huge art work, tables, and stone benches. Be careful on the north side that borders Airport at 55 MPH. No fences, so dangerous for wandering kids and unleashed dogs. Mosquitos are a beast in summer.

I took my prom pictures here! Very lovely scenery that is great for picture taking or walks...only bad part is that it is right next to airport road which is a very busy and loud road that causes some distractions...but overall this is a great park for leisure such as a picnic and more!

Nice little park for a picnic and a stroll. Has a large pond full of turtles that are visible on sunny days. No playground, just a short trail next to the pond and streams with some benches and picnic tables. Open, unfenced field in which dogs could run, but caution necessary due to proximity of roads and possible ticks, burrs, etc. Trails popular with dog walkers.
