Animal Kingdom Pet Hospital

I have been a client for over 3 years and had always had a positive experience until recently. I took one of my Pomeranians in for a regular checkup and went through the initial assessment and proceeded to wait in a waiting room for over 30 mins with no word as to if there was an emergency (which i would have understood) or if the Dr was delayed (which I would have also understood). When I finally got up to leave, the vet tech, Erin, came in and was rude and condescending to me when I told her I couldn't wait any longer because I had to return to work. She claimed that she was not a psychic and didn't know that I worked. It shouldn't matter if I work, everyone's time is precious. I am also not a psychic and had no idea why I was left in a waiting room with no word as to why. Dr. Mike called and apologized to me. I went into their office later that week to pick up some meds, and Erin was one of the people at the front desk. She never spoke to me or acknowledged me. Today when I called to get my pets' records transferred to another office, the receptionist, Natasha (who has always been nothing but kind and helpful), also apologized. Someone at the office needs to explain to Erin that this is not professional behavior; it's rude and totally uncalled for and she should have apologized. If this is how Erin treats clients, I can only shudder to think how she treats the animals she cares for. She is clearly in the wrong job! I have spent literally thousands of dollars at this office and am diligent about my pets' care. I expect to be treated better than this. I don't expect special treatment, but I do expect to be treated in a professional manner and if she's having a bad day or slips, I expect a sincere apology.

Very friendly staff, got us in same day! My dogs are skeptical of all strangers and had them sitting and doing tricks within a few minutes. Also, answered all questions/options throughly, felt it was a tad pricey, but worth the cost for good care. Will be back

Dr Mike is great with my babies. So many things wrong and he has them back to their usual crazy selves. The techs and front desk are amazing people. My forever vet😊😊

Dr Mike and his team are THE BEST! I drove over 90 minutes to see them, because I knew that my dog Max would receive the highest quality of care from all of them. I can’t say enough about how much it means to me to be treated the way they treat you at Animal Kingdom. I’ve been to so many vets over the years that were just not even in the same realm. From the ease of making an appointment, to Dr Mike’s extreme level of expertise and amazing bedside manner, all the way through giving me multiple options for treating my animal, based on necessity and affordability, the experience is like no other. I showed up to their office yesterday, extremely worried about my animal’s health, and I left feeling hopeful, informed and SO much better. If I could give them 100 stars, I would! Thank you guys so much!!

Everyone at AKPH was so incredibly sweet and kind. Dr Smiley was so patient, gentle, and informative and every tech was the same way. They all took so much time to explain things to us and were so compassionate and nonjudgmental as well. I could literally gush for forever, but just trust that this is such a wonderful clinic full of wonderful people that deeply care about their clients and their furbabies. Grateful to have found a new forever vet for my babies!
