(from Google)This is a great trail for hiking and mountain biking to the mountain biking is not all that challenging but you can go a long way you can drop into thousand Oaks. This photo wasn't take for that though I climbed up there on my road bike and that's where I turned around .
Many good trail options and routes from this trailhead, from an easy couple of miles to over 10 if you choose. Many great views and lots of nice rocks to explore and scramble around. You can access 3 different trailheads from here, all of which offer sufficient challenge and views for hikers, runners, mountain bikers, and even equestrians. Parking is pretty safe here, as the lot is usually busy, and there are occasional ranger, police, and security patrols. Aways a great place to hike, except in extreme heat, as most of the trails have little to no shade. Typically not too muddy after rain, either.
I was able to do this hike with my bad knee. Using hiking sticks was beneficial to help with steep climbs. Beautiful well maintained trails.
Very amazing views of the lake, super fun to go with loved ones. * Precaution* Be careful in raining season, trails tend to get slippery
Great hiking and biking. This trail system will take you all the way to Chesborro if you're ready and willing.
