(from Google)Very good office. Tech was so good with my cat who is always upset when at the Dr. Gave me a good amount of clavamox that was appreciated for UTI. Reasonable price not overpriced like some others.
When you choose a new vet you never know what to expect. I took my Bella there and she saw 3 different amazing doctors in a few month period taking her to when she crossed the rainbow bridge. They were all very caring, checking up on her, I couldn't have asked for any better.
Sticker shock😆! Once you enter, it's beautiful and everyone is very friendly, professional & wonderful. I brought in my new puppy for a consult/ exam. The office visit, combined with a fecal test was almost $300. The quote for a neutering when he reaches his max weight of 9-10 lbs was 900! They did not look at his nails, ears, mouth, etc. After I went elsewhere a week later (to establish new service) they gave him a very thorough exam - at a fraction of the cost. The office visit at Coastal was $55, compared to $136 at Toms River. He also received a thorough exam, two inoculations, ear cleaning, ear drops, and nail clipping for about $166 total, which included the office visit! Transferring all pets to Coastal.
Great first impression with our new pup! They took the time to do a full physical exam and read through all of the medical notes from her previous family and the rescue, took care of what was needed today, gave us some great info and instruction for what we have to do at home, and even were able to help us get set up on a discounted plan to cover her regular veterinary needs going forward. So far they've been great!
On Aug 15 my dog Mickey had a seizure and was unresponsive. I wrapped him in a beach towel and called my vet of 14 years from my car while crying hysterically and telling them of my emergency situation and was on my way to the office. I was told they were BUSY and would not take him. They told me to take him to Brick or Toms River. I was devastated. I didn't know where to go. I was frantic trying to think of where I could get him help. My son-in-law said I was near VCA and we were only 2 minutes away. I ran into the office crying hysterically when everyone came to help me. The tech took my dog and ran with him. Everyone was so caring and compassionate of both my dog and myself. They did everything to try and help him but unfortunately I had to put my boy you rest. The Dr, and tech were so considerate in handling him and I felt their sadness for me. They were so compassionate explaining everything to me and telling me how they were so sorry. The whole staff are wonderful people and I thanked God for putting me in the right place at the right time for my Mickey. I highly recommend anyone with a pet to use VCA in Toms River and you will not be sorry because your pet will be in the best of hands.
