My experience at Petco on 75th Metcalf in Overland Park Kansas was wonderful. The young lady at the cashier was so welcoming and kind to me and my dog. She lifted the 45 lb. of dog food into my cart because it was difficult for me to do it. She told me about the Halloween toy discounts and was very loving towards my pet dog Chocolate. She even shared a treat with him. If you are looking for a great pet store to get your supplies, don't hesitate to purchase them from Petco.

I cannot say enough good things about Petco - 75th Street. This location truly sets the standard for what a pet store should be. From the moment you walk in, it’s clear that the animals’ well-being and the customers’ experience genuinely matter. The new store manager, Patch, goes above and beyond in every possible way. Their knowledge, compassion, and dedication to animal welfare are obvious in how the store is run and how every question or concern is handled. Patch doesn’t just manage a store they advocate for the animals and make pet parents feel supported, informed, and welcomed. The staff reflects that same care and professionalism, the store is clean and well-organized, and you never feel rushed or dismissed. It’s refreshing to find a place where both animals and humans are treated with such respect and kindness. If you’re in Overland Park and looking for a Petco that truly stands out, this is the one. Five stars without hesitation. 🐾

I liked there selection of fish there except for the betta selection almost all the bettas were sick and hurt I decided to get a sick fish to heal him so I don't recommend this store if your getting bettas

Zach Patch at Petco was absolutely outstanding. He went above and beyond to help me find everything I needed and made the entire experience easy and enjoyable. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cares about helping customers make the right choices. On top of that, he has a great personality and a strong, professional mindset. Zach mentioned he’s working his way toward becoming a regional manager, and honestly, I can see it—he has the leadership, attitude, and expertise for it. Petco is lucky to have him, and he truly deserves a raise. I really hope he reaches that goal because he would be an incredible regional manager!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE – WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY CHARGED ME FOR BATH AND BRUSH AND DID NOT EVEN BRUSH MY DOG…ect I dropped my dog off at 3 PM for a 3:15 grooming appointment. Over 3 hours passed with no update, so I called—no answer. I eventually returned to the store and asked for an update, only to be told my dog had just been washed and was under a vent to dry because he “didn’t do well with the blow dryer.” That was surprising—my dog has been groomed regularly for five years and has never had an issue with a blow dryer. By this point, it was 6 PM and they hadn’t even started cutting his hair. I didn’t want to wait all evening, so I told them I was taking my dog home. I was handed a $49 bill for a "bath and brush"—services that were either done poorly or not at all. After expressing my concerns, they offered a 10% discount. Before I left, the groomer said I could bring him back the next day and she’d “try to make room” to groom him. I declined. But when I came back to pick him up, the groomer had already started cutting his hair—something I explicitly said I didn’t want. She said, “I won’t charge you for it.” I should hope not. Worse, I don’t believe he was even offered water during those 3+ hours. He drank an entire bowl as soon as I got him. His "groom" was a 5-minute uneven trim with no brushing—yet I was still charged $49 for a bath and brush. He's shedding worse now than when I brought him in. Save yourself the frustration and find a groomer who values your time, money, and your pet’s well-being. This place clearly does not.
