such an amazing place to get snakes i just bought my first ball python and it was affordable and the people that work there are very helpful and knowledgeable about the animals

Just went in there for turtle food , im a usual customer and never have had an issue, i think this dude is new but he had almost a afro a full head of hair and mustache, but i was in line and he knocked down two cups with spiders in them, i had to pick them up myself, he barely acknowledged knocking them down and didnt even get a thank you for fixing the spiders and then he has very just sarcastic and rude tone the entire time, i said “how are you doing” he goes “nothing” clearly he didnt hear me but obviously most people arent asking “what are you doing” but whatever so i dont even respond he scans i pay , doesnt even ask if i want a bag or receipt or nothing (it was not busy no need for the rush) and then just sarcastically was like talking me out the door going “have good one, happy new year, happy 4th of july, merry Christmas, enjoy the fireworks. Idk if dude is having a bad day but just wasnt paying attention to animals he knocked down… also he knows he knocked them down but he also needs to learn how to talk to people, dude was weird ive been here 100s of times never had an issue till today.

Discount Pets is a very friendly and nicely stocked store, where you are almost always greeted when entering the door. The staff are close by if needed, but not hovering over you. They are patient with any questions that you have or no matter how long it may take you to select a specific fish/animal/product. Speaking of fish, if you see a couple of them that didn’t make it after shipment, you need to realize that when dealing in quantity, that sadly happens. That doesn’t mean that all the fish are bad! I’ve had nothing but great fish from this place, but did ask what happens if one dies. They said in that case they would want to get a sample of my water. I’m sure that you would want to start there first, before assuming that it was just a sick fish. If you know that your water is fine, then you can go from there. If it needs attention, now you know. I had a tank a while back and didn’t realize how bad the water quality had become until testing it, because I had lost a few new fish while my old fish survived. I’m assuming that my original fish had become acclimated to the poor conditions, but after fixing everything, they seemed to be healthier and possibly more colorful! I then felt confident to add more fish to the tank. Anyways, great store, great service and great selections! You will like their prices too!

Just bought my first reptile from this store yesterday and have to say Laz is the phenomenal when it comes to knowledge and making you feel at ease with the animal I had traded my bp for a good deal on a pastel bp and I have to say nobody would ahve sold me that snake like Laz did so hats off to that man. I’ve also been coming to this store for snake feedings for almost a year now and the staff is the most laidback people I’ve ever seen handle animals,something messes up or something needs to be done they do it no questions asked and I love to see that for these animals Pastel bp is in the photo.
