I brought my four year-old to the pet store to purchase two additional goldfish to add to his fish bowl. The employee Madison did not acknowledge us or our presence for over five minutes until my four year-old asked another employee to purchase two goldfish. They started asking questions like what size is the fish tank for the two goldfish that cost $.25. I said I’m not sure that’s a weird question when our request is to pick out the two goldfish in tank. I said the tanks is about 8 gallons or so not knowing that it’s a 12 gallon tank at the house. I said what difference does it make what size the tank is for goldfish? She proceeded to say we’re not gonna sell you the goldfish unless they’re in a specific size tank. Then Madison says they are a feeder fish and since I’m not buying the fish for pray then she isnt going to sell them to me either. Keep in mind these goldfish are for a four-year-old. At that point I said I want to speak to the manager. Madison said she is the manage, then I said I would like to speak the your manager or the store owner. Then tattooed faced store manage Laren immediately says I’m going to call security once I started recording this ridiculous incident over $.50 of goldfish. I took my son to another store to get his goldfish and received fantastic service and treatment. Zero inappropriate questions asked about what our plans are for a goldfish. Which is the same treatment as we received the last time we purchased goldfish at a pet store. The employee said how can I help you, which color goldfish would you like and my son picked out? We suffered no trauma, no belittlement or bigotry. Madison and the store manager Lauren are a disgrace & their actions have embarrassed the brand of this company. I recorded the interaction once the employees started saying ridiculous things and their behavior. It will be released to the news and the public. Shame on them a cooperate complaint was also filed.

I love the rewards program, but am upset that I cant change the names of the pets listed. We lost our dog a year ago & my senior ay a couple of months ago. It's distressing to continue having their loss brought back with every email.

Popped in to spend a egift card and it's very small, cat stuff is buried with the dog items. Decent sized grooming facility. Not an employee in sight to assist with trying to find cat items or ask if I needed help. Went on a Friday during the day, not sure if it was a stocking day or what but there were a few other people there. Normally I get approached by an employee asking if I need assistance or just a greeting but there was nothing. Even as I left no one was by the cash register.

Love this Petco. Everything is super easy to find. I would recommend their management keep up on regular reviews of promotions and signage both on the floor and in their computer system. Multiple times, they have displayed expired promotions. I am giving 4 stars because their computer system is super slow and they dont keep up on putting out signage for their promotions.

The employees are very knowledgeable and helpful, which makes a huge difference. A big store can be hard to navigate for a first time pet-owner, so I appreciate the help! My dog loves his new toys and 🌭 hotdog costume.
