I was really dismayed today when I called to complain about the haircut that my Yorkie received. They disregarded several of the things that I asked to be done and I debated about calling at all but finally decided that I would. This is the first time I have called and they said that I had complained several times and that they were gonna sever my ability to bring my dog in anymore. The only things I’ve complained about in the past or the fact that they discount program that I’ve paid for Was constantly being dropped and then when I would come in they would say I didn’t have it. I would have to start all over again. I don’t recall ever complaining about his haircuts because they’ve usually been pretty good. This haircut was just awful!!! It really is the worst thing that I’ve ever witnessed. I’m really upset by them trying to make out like this is my fault and not theirs. This is absolutely the first time that I have ever ever called in. The girl that I talked to is also his groomer and she was not at all nice!

Helpful employees. This review is for the company, not the employees. Every bit of the aquatic section needs to be completely overhauled. The tanks are disgusting, filthy, overrun with algea and gunk. The fish are lackluster and poorly cared for. The plants are worthless, and almost entirely dead. Their betta section is unquestionably animal cruelty with several dead, emaciated, malnourished bettas in disgraceful conditions. Cloudy water, evident dropsy, popeyes, torn, missing and clamped fins, etc. Get it together, Petco. This seems to be an ongoing issue from the look of the reviews. BOYCOTT THIS STORE.

I was checking out and let the cashier know I noticed the hermit crab enclosure was full of mold. The cashier chuckled, and told me there wasn’t really anything he could do from the register. He was flabbergasted, as if I had told him to personally walk over and scoop it out in the middle of him checking out. A simple “oh yeah I will let someone know” would have sufficed. I’m not going to lie I have never seen such a sassy, exasperated reaction to something so calm and simple. He got on his headset and let Teresa know a customer was “complaining about something he had no control over.” Verbatim. Teresa didn’t need a headset for how loud her response was. Also, flabbergasted that someone would bring up literal mold in an animals enclosure. I walked up to her because I wasn’t interested in the fit the cashier was having, it wasn’t in any way an attack or me attempting to be rude or ruin his day, and for him to react the way he did was uncomfortable, and frankly embarrassing. So I addressed Teresa myself, explaining I noticed the entire enclosure was filled with mold. She tells me as I can see, she’s starting her cleaning duties already. At this point the attitude is annoying. I told her straight up “look, that’s a lot of mold and they are having to live in it.” At the end of the day, in no way did this need to be the kind of encounter it was. And you shouldn’t be shocked that customers will ask you to do your bare minimum job. The animals that are in your care should bare minimum have livable conditions. Mold doesn’t just pop up like that in between cleanings if it’s being done every day.

Keizer station petco grooming department is excellent! I have a Two year old female Chihuahua who I rescued from a puppy mill and a very abusive home. The pet groomer at the Keizer Station Petco who goes by the name of Ben is so amazing and gentle that my little Twinkie will allow him to pick her up a clip her nails. She lets no other groomer touch her! We travel two hours to see him! Thanks do much! Michelle Lara

Never had or seen a bad experience with small mammals here. Everyone I know he’s gotten a pet from here has had them for at least 1 to 2 years. Got mine today and he seems pretty healthy. Highly recommend if there’s no ethical breeders in your area :) After losing my cat I decided to go back to small mammals permanently and this location (Keizer) happens to be closest to me. So will be coming here for my future companions as time goes on. I named the hamster in the photo Asher in case anyone wants to know his name :D
