It was okay. We went to view their small exhibit. The whole place reeked of waste and the small habitats were all full of poo. While the turtles and other reptiles seems healthy and maintained the rodents and other small pets were not. The was a young adolescent ferret sleeping next to a 3 inch tall pile of it's own feces. Not a single worker spoke to us other than when they needed to rush by us. We didnt spend a single dollar while in here not for the lack of trying but the two workers seemed overworked and exhausted. We stood near the counter for about 10 minutes just to ask about the place and wondered around aimlessly on our own. The birds all seem mangled and there was a turtle that needed a beak and nail trim badly.

Very small establishment. Maybe too many pets for size of store but seemed like staff were knowledgeable. Prices might have been slightly higher than bigger stores... neat to see all the animals though.

If you've ever been to this place then you know it's charm...if you have not, you should stop in and check it out! A visit to "The Jungle" is quick, painless entertainment for all ages and will almost guaranteed leave a memory. Whether you need supplies for your gecko or just like looking at at cute and interesting beasts, this place rocks!

I’ll start by saying they do have a wide range of exotic pets, and that part is great. But unfortunately, my experience with the customer service was awful. My husband and I went in to buy an iguana, and since it was our first time owning one, we had a lot of questions. The employee working that day was on her phone almost the entire time and had her young daughter doing all the work for her. Every time we tried asking for help or guidance on what we needed for proper care, we were basically ignored. Because of that, we ended up buying everything blindly. We even asked if we’d be able to return any items we didn’t need, and the employee gave us a rude response but still told us returns were allowed. When we checked out, the debit card machine asked us if we wanted our receipt to which we put yes, but we were not handed a receipt , so we had no way of knowing their policies. After getting home(as we live out of town) did we see that a receipt was left at the bottom of one of our bags. Later, when we called to return the items we didn’t end up needing, she suddenly said they don’t accept returns at all and that it was “stated on the receipt” that we didn’t get to fully read or go over until we made it home. On top of all that, I’ve been trying to speak with a manager for the past two days to resolve the situation. I’ve called all day, every day, and they never answer. The one time someone finally picked up, they put me on hold for almost two hours until I eventually hung up. When I tried calling back, all I get now is a busy tone. At this point I don’t know if my number was blocked or what, but I can’t get through at all anymore. Overall, the entire experience has been extremely frustrating and unprofessional from start to finish. We left feeling disrespected and misled. We definitely won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this store to anyone who expects decent customer service or honesty. we finally went back to the store in person to get the store credit we were told we were entitled to (since they claim they don’t offer refunds). As soon as we walked in, the staff recognized us and immediately went to the back to call the owner. After talking to him, they told us that the owner refused to give us the full store credit unless we took down our negative review. My husband told them we absolutely were not going to remove an honest review, so they only gave us partial credit. After using the small amount of store credit they did give us to buy a replacement item, they said they needed to take pictures of everything “for Google,” which honestly just felt petty and unprofessional — as if that would somehow change the fact that the experience was terrible. Once I looked at more reviews, it became obvious that this wasn’t a one-time issue. There are plenty of negative reviews, and the owner responds rudely to many of them, instead of taking responsibility or improving anything. On top of that, the condition of some of the animals in the store raises serious concerns. This place should honestly be reported — not just for the terrible customer service, but for their obvious neglect toward the animals and their unprofessional behavior toward paying customers. I will never shop here again, and I strongly recommend others avoid this place as well.

Bought three pet rats from here a three days ago. They didn't have enough male rats in the display, and the employee brought another rat from what looked like a row of storage shelves. It didn't click at the time, but as a longtime snake owner, these shelves were obviously for feeder rats (they are bred in quantity over quality and their health is not a priority, compared to how pet rats are supposed to be taken care of. They also mentioned their ages ranged from 2 to 4 months old). The last rat mentioned died yesterday, very abruptly and semi-violently from what I belive to ne organ failure and blood in his feces, and despite givin all three rats equal amounts of attention, proper food, and free roam time, he was still quite aggressive. The remaining two rats have been docile and energetic, but have been no stop itching (discovered mites on them) and have been scratching themselves bloody, and non-stop sneezing (which we assumed would calm down a day or so after leaving the store), and having wet diarhea (similar to the passed rat. We've also been using oxbow food the vet recommended, and twice daily feeding as instructed.). At this point we've also been noticing labored breathing and them being very lethargic. I originally paid for a temporary cage from the store, but moved them to a much larger cage I purchased from Amazon. I've noticed the owner responds to may of these reviews in a rude and negative manner, placing blame on the families who purchase animals and leave negative reviews, so I'm covering any sense of doubt you may have when reading this review by explaining everything. We contacted the vet and they informed us that they have already euthanized 6 rats and a chinchilla that were purchased from this location, THIS WEEK. A rodent veterinarian only cimes to this clinic ince a week, so they recommended to keep them comfortable until then, and with what they believe to be URI's (commonly fatal for rats.). My wife and young children have all become very attached to these little rats in a very short time, and it's gut wrenching to watch them go through something like this. We spent $10 per rat, and over $180 in food, treats, and the cage from here, and I feel like we were scammed into buying rats they know would pass very soon in order to sell us pet supplies. At a quick glance inside this store, there might not seem like alot is wrong, but after a closer inspection you can see that all of their animals are dealing with anxiety, cramped spaces, and unclean areas. It was very cluttered and I feel bad for the animals being kept there. While this has been a truly horrible experience, I'm only happy that the little rat boys I purchased were saved from living in this stores conditions any longer, even if it were only for a short while. Do not purchase an animal from here for any reason.
