(from Google)Stop selling parrots, it’s incredibly cruel. If you want a bird then adopt one! There’s thousands that need homes. Saw 5 budgies in a small cage on the floor in the back by bathroom with only 2 perches. It was so incredibly sad!
Me and my family went in just to purchase some fish for our kids, asked an associate to help with fish and the manager “Eddie (he/him)” (per the name tag) was brought out. He asked if we had a fish tank that had already been set up for 2 weeks and we said no. She responded by saying “I would suggest doing that and then do your research on fish. All fish can’t go in 5 gallon tanks… etc.” I ignored the smart remark and asked my children to pick a fish anyway and told them it may not survive but If they wanted one we would still get one. They picked a fish and we asked Eddie to get us one and he refused. I asked for someone else and he let it be known that he was the manager and that he wasn’t going to sell us a fish and he had the right to refuse us service and that he has a responsibility to the well being of the fish although there were dead fish in the 5 gallon tanks that they’re stored in. I was extremely disappointed in being treated rudely and as if I was committing a crime because we wanted to purchase our children some fish. This company should really consider a different manager for this location, this was not a good experience.
Great store for all our Bichon's needs. Friendly staff although they can be a bit understaffed at times.
Emily L. is an awesome employee! Every time I go in, she helps me with a variety of things. She’s especially knowledgeable in fish, dogs and cats. Definitely look forward to seeing her whenever I go in.
The staff here is very polite and always willing to help. The store is well-stocked and has everything from fish supplies, small bird and reptile supplies and anything you may need for a cat or dog. The only thing that frustrates me is their lack of care for their Bettas; every time I have gone there they are sick or near death. All the other animals seem to be well taken care of. Edit March 2023: I stopped by today and by some miracle the Bettas weren't in tiny cups today! They were still in too small tanks and had no heater, but not having them in cups is such a huge step towards educating their customers that Bettas need large aquariums (at least 10 gallons when they go to a permanent home). This was such a breath of fresh air to see from a pet store. They were even surrounded by some pretty good Betta products. Maybe in the future they'll switch to ceramic water bowls instead of bottles for their small animals and then they'll be a pretty good example for other stores.
