Petco

For the most part my actual experience was great! I am just very saddened that they order in axolotls when they don't know how to properly care for them. They are NOT fish and cannot survive in warm water, it clearly states that on the tank they are in that they need to live in temperatures 60-68° and the tank is extremely warm to touch. They are also in with rocks, one looked to have swallowed one and was in bad shape. I wish I could save them all, but I can't.. so please, go back to ordering online only or learn how to properly care for these sweet pets that deserve better!

I’m in the store maybe 1-2 times a week. The cashiers are so friendly. Robert even says “Hi” as soon as I come in. What’s nice too, is that he’ll ask about our pets by name, even before my account is pulled up.

do NOT support this chain pet store. They don't care about the animals they sell. They do not provide proper care for their pets, especially their reptiles. This inhumane treatment is so heartbreaking and frustrating.. DO BETTER !!

Do not buy any dart frogs from here. . I made that mistake today, after purchasing the 2 bumblebee dart frogs and going straight home which is about 35 min, they had died. The manager( Keith) then proceeded to blame me for their passing. After I argued with him that the moss was dry and it was because they didn't have access to water in the take home container he proceeded to tell me it wasn't, and that I must've done something. I then went to the enclosure where they keep them and took pictures of the enclosure and the humidity levels inside of their enclosure. Dart frogs are supposed to have very high humidity, and temps in the mid 70s. That's not what they are being kept in. The current humidity level in their enclosure was 25%.

They have a huge selection of pet products. If you get a bag of food but your dog doesn't like it, you can exchange it for a different kind. You have to have half or more of the bag left. I found everything I needed and more. Everything you might need or want for your pet you can find at Petco. I really like that you can bring your pet with you in the store, so they can pick out something that they would like. I recommend Petco to anyone and everyone with pets.
