Finest Exotic Birds

A great place to buy birds! They take very well care of their birds and super friendly. The service was very good and nice owners and great environment. I feel like I was welcome with open arms and really comfortable. Very good at guiding me to find the perfect bird for my liking.

I had a really great experience here. They have a huge selection of toys for birds, which I loved because it shows they really care about keeping pets active and happy. The birds themselves were very clean, well cared for, and the enclosures looked maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful, and I’ll definitely be coming back! You tell they care for the birds.

We purchased a green cheek conure from Finest Exotic Birds about four months ago. They were super helpful and easy to talk to. Alexis made the adoption process super easy. He sent us pictures as our baby was growing. When the time came to pick up our baby bird we headed down to the shop. They had a variety of parrots and parakeets, lots of toys and other bird necessities. Alexis answered all other questions we had and sent us home with a bag of food and millet. It was great. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a bird. We absolutely love our little bird. He’s a sweetheart.

My favorite exotic bird shop in Sacramento, CA! This shop may be small but they have the best birds and the best owners. You MUST search them out and visit. All their birds are well taken care, healthy, clean cages, which is important to me.They have a lot of hand fed baby parrots (that they take home every night to care for) as well as all kinds of other birds such as a variety of canaries and finches, English budgies and regular ones, baby cockatiels and doves, macaws, yellow headed parrots etc. They sell their birds fast though, so call ahead to see what they have available Alexis and his wife Jocelyn really are a family owned business that loves their birds. I started visiting their shop about 6 months ago and each time I walk in I am greeted with a warm hello and I can ask ANY question I have and always get an educated helpful response. I highly recommend!

Although the place itself is quite small I love that they allow their birds to be out of the cage and able to roam and hang out freely in their space/spot. I can tell the birds are all really happy and they they are well taken care of. I talked to one of the woman and she shared that her husband and his family have been raising birds for over 40 years. She shared that each bird is hand raised and no older than 10 months. She says most of them are still learning to eat on their own and not be hand fed. I will definitely support small businesses like this! It was such an amazing suprise and difference compared to other horribly conditioned pet stores (obviously this isn't a pet store).
