(from Google)Beautiful scenic trail. Age range of people in our group was 7-64. The trail is 3.3 miles one way. If you don't want to walk the whole thing just turn around. Parking spots on either side. The trail is paved with crushed gravel and some side walk. Lots of hills. You can see the lake behind trees.
This is a great trail for a walk! We covered 4 miles, and it was a nice mix of small gravel and paved paths, making it suitable for different types of activity. The fall colors are just starting to come through, which added a beautiful touch to the scenery. One downside was the parking lot, which had quite a bit of broken glass. Other than that, it was a pleasant experience, and I’m sure it will be even more stunning as the fall colors continue to develop!
Watched my grandson so his mom and dad could go to work. Kinda wanted to get this rugrat out of the house. We came over here for a walk. I had a hefty stroller so it wasn't horrible. I wouldn't recommend taking one of those cheap strollers.not sure how well it would go but people are more than welcome to try and see how the experience is. We walked for about 30 or so minutes one way and I decided that we should turn around and head back. I may have went a wrong way because I didnt see much but trees after the bridge. I have been here with my friend Morgan on a walk and it was nice. Just wear good shoes.
Nice graveled path for a nature walk through the woods. We took the dog (leashed of course) and she had a blast sniffing and watching the deer, chipmunks, and turtles. She also found ticks though, too - beware and check your dog after the walk. There were also people biking and running, so a very mixed use trail. There are also little benches, a bridge, and a picnic table in random places. The trail is a combination of gravel and concrete (mostly in corners where they are attempting to prevent erosion). You can tell they are really working on preventing wash outs by ample water mitigation - its working! We went after a heavy rain and it was barely washed out. Not so many lake views as the trail name would imply, but it is peaceful and has lovely views of the woods.
Let me start by saying I give this three stars because I’m not quite sure what it’s supposed to be. It’s not a hiking trail, it’s not a mountain bike trail, it’s more of a confused gravel road that is wide enough to drive a tractor through. It switches from pavement to gravel and sometimes you wonder if you’ve wandered into a county road somewhere. There are a couple of little bridges, and it’s nice enough. It would be okay for kids, and it’s nice enough for a run with some shade. However in the spring/summer you will not have many views of the water due to the foliage. I saw several turtles, deer and rabbit. I would estimate you would be able to see turkey too. All in all it is a nice walk, and okay enough for periodic runs. I was harassed by horseflies for the last half of my run, but no ticks. Be wary of ample poison ivy.
