(from Google)Beautiful, quiet forest full of life! Great areas for camping, RVs, hiking, kayaking, and boating with a marina though I'm unfamiliar with the boat ramp. There were many trees from a previous fire that await to be picked up, wonder how long ago that was and what hppened?), but there are many trails other then the Sugarloaf and other, they aren't marked and in 1 instance, a sign was marked abouit being in progress to a deck over looking the waterway.. but that marshy land to the deck is where MOST the deer track were, I'd hope never to disturb our animal forest homes, maybe someone can lay 2x2 natural flat stones to preserve marsh and provide a way to deck? A natural alternative. Many deer tracks! Baby deer, momma deer, they were everywhere and I love to see it as they need to be protected in all this. I wish a few more trails had markers, and that the forest itself was loved more as it's so special.
Great and easy 3 mile loop. I started the navigation on the all trails app but absolutely didn't need it. The constant color coded marks and direction updates for the trail helped us complete the loop. Was a beautiful trail. Favorite part was the lily pond
was a fun trail to go on with friends. beautiful views. the signs were very helpful. not crowded and good for beginners
Great, not doable with a stroller
This was such a nice, peaceful, unique hike for me and my dog. It wasn’t strenuous at all, and there were some beautiful views along the way. Not too crowded, either. Parking was easy, access to restrooms was easy.
