(from Google)Went on a walk with my date it was a nice trail
This is an amazing and beautiful trail. It's great for hiking or biking. The trail is a bit difficult in alot of spots but well worth it for the view. Now the catch, I got lost alot because the signage is crap and in some places non existing. I was ever lost long because the trail is small but a few times I found myself completely off trail because it just disappeared. The second reason for the mid review is there are people camping illegally in the woods. I didn't care the first time because I can understand getting away from everything. The problem is the second and third time they made noises from the hill in an attempt to scare people away. The magic 8 ball in the photos marks where their encampment is.
The map at the bottom (in the small parking area) had little resemblance to the trails that exist today. Despite a few signs with arrows pointing toward 'outlook', we never found any place with any kind of view. Not a pretty hike in the winter. But still...nice to be in nature in the midst of a city.
This trail is beautiful and easy to navigate. There are short loop trails with branches that are fun for quick adventures. There's also longer trails that lead farther up the hill and into the forest. The map is good for the main trails, but there are a lot of branches that aren't on the map which are also a great time. Strong chance for seeing deer around too!
Cut out a couple of trees to clear the trail today. First time I've been there. Very cool spot
