(from Google)Boat tide there was fun, saw dolphins and do many birds. Arrived and Its absolutely beautiful. Sea shells are all over, water is so blue, its quiet and peaceful. I didn't want to leave...Ever. Keep a eye out on the water levels they drop quick n it all turns to sand except a small area only a small boat can fit through. Definitely a must go.
Beautiful and well kept. Really large empty beaches. Clean bathrooms. Staff is super nice
We visited a small island in the preserve while staying at the Hya/ Regency Coconut Grove. There was a water shuttle to the island, and dolphins, manatees, and other wildlife were out. The beach is in great shape now, after the last hurricane, and the hotel has been refreshed after the 11 foot storm surge pushed water through the pool area all the way to the lobby. Everything is classy and fresh, if a little expensive. We definitely recommen.
This is a beautiful area we accessed by boat, but it should be accessible by land through Lovers Key or Pelican Island. White sand with lots of shells and sand bars that allow you to venture out into the Gulf.
A phenomenal way to experience the true natural beauty of the Southern Florida experience! In an amazing 9 mile round trip to the Bay. We saw a Bald eagle, a six foot alligator, a four foot sand shark, a manette, an amazing assortment of tropical birds, huge crabs, and some of the most beautiful foliage including an array of palm tree groves that you can only find in Florida. More than worth the price of renting two kayaks.
