Convenient and close. Well maintained trail. Good mix of shade and sun for a bright and yet cool hike.

Gabbert Butte Hike - A truly hidden treasure, untouched and serene. I was the only soul on the trail, wandering its narrow, enchanting paths. The rolling hills make for a great cardio workout, and the symphony of birdsong fills the air with life. ⸻ O, gentle path where footsteps fade, A whispered trail ‘neath forest’s shade. The vines embrace, the breezes call, In verdant halls both vast and small. The birds do sing, the leaves do dance, As sunlight weaves its golden lance. No soul but mine to walk this way, A dream untold in light of day. ⸻ Beyond being a peaceful retreat for hikers, this place holds a quiet, timeless beauty. As a wedding photographer, I see it as an incredible setting not only for adventure but also for engagement and family shoots. The way the light filters through the trees and the untouched nature surrounding the trail create a magical atmosphere—perfect for capturing love in its most natural form.

A very charming neighborhood to park. The forest is quiet in the morning without any distractions. A great place to slowly think and concentrate on the peacefulness of nature.

Not a hard hike at all. I wouldn't go after a rain again, because a lot of the trail can get pretty muddy, but it is a great little stroll through the woods

No service animals allowed or pets. No smoking is allowed here. It's free to use the trails here. There is no parking here so you have to park on the street. I would say 15 and older are the ages I would bring for this hike. Going downhill is not very strenuous but the heel going up gives you a real workout. If you have asthma bring your inhaler. This Trail is very beautiful and stunning On our hike we ran into Chipmunks ,birds and snakes. The air smells very refreshing like pine. I would love it if my whole house smelled like this. You hear lots of animals on this hike. I really enjoyed this hike it was a lot of fun.
