(from Google)Visited April 1st, 2026. Due to drought no alligators in the area which was unfortunate. They went south and will be back in a couple months per park staff. Otherwise beautiful place for a short walk in nature.
January is absolutely the best time visiting the trail. Beautiful sunny day, comfortable temperature, no bugs. It's a quiet and peaceful walk trail, with the observation tower at the end and also a viewing deck not too far from the entrance. I love coming here when I have time off, it helps to reduce the stress and clear the mind.
Great place for a short hike. We saw pigs, deer, and plenty of large birds. The hiking trails are clearly marked and ranged from 1-3 miles.
Lovely flat wide trails , shaded parking lot. No bathrooms or water. We went in early May, all the trails were very dry. We saw lots of birds and bear scat. Trails are well marked and we enjoyed cycling.
Nice place to have a stroll. Trails are very flat / trimmed and wide. I personally like the small narrow trails. Green loop has a nice section of tight trail. Saw a few hawks on our visit. Bikes would be great on all the crew trails as well. Next time we visit i will bringing them.
