This concrete paved trail is the best in the KC Metro. The fact that it runs from the MO riverfront/Argosy Casino north to 152 Hiway is great, but near its southern terminus it connects to the MO Riverfront Trail which leads to English Landing Park & downtown Parkville. Just over halfway, it intersects Southern Platte Pass. That trail parallels 45 Hiway west to I-435 & the Brush Creek Trail. Near northern terminus it crosses 152 Trail, which goes east to Zona Rosa and north to 112th & Ambassador Dr.; west to Costco. Along all of Line Creek Trail there are quite a few side trails into neighborhoods. The Northland has the BEST interconnected system of bike trails.

Clean paved trail. We started at Northern Heights but from my understanding there are several start points. Plenty of parking. Dogs on leash is fine. Plenty of surface on trail for bikes, walkers, dogs. When u start you can go left or right, we went left for about 2.5 miles . We only saw one restroom and trash can, by the entrance ( had to carry dog poop that sucked)

One of my favorite places to walk year round. If you’ve not been out this winter to see it frozen, you’re missing out. This winter wonderland is “otherworldly”. The best place to see waterfalls is at the Community Center Entrance on Waukomis — just across from the Elementary School. If you park at the lot near the creek, there is a sidewalk that crosses over the creek (it’s impassable during high water). Head left once you cross and walk less than 2-tenths of a mile. This is one of the best falls at Line Creek, especially if you have your dog with you. There are rock shelves to get down to the water. If you head in the opposite direction walking about 7-tenths of a mile, there is another nice waterfall. This one has a much steeper embankment, but definitely worth climbing down for a better view.
