(from Google)Epic. The massive rocks, their textures, and mixed colors are incredible. A bit challenging in spots with scrambles and some ledges but less in a “this is hard, you can’t do this” way and more in a “this will be fun and I should move a bit slower” way. I went with a group of gals, some who had never hiked before, and it was a-okay. Sand on the rocks can be a bit slippery so bring shoes with grip.
This trailhead came highly recommended from the wonderful staff. ~2.4 out and back with a killer view of the Vegas strip in the distance. The beginning of the hike is pretty easy but becomes a bit of a rock scramble at times on the latter half. The view is worth the effort
Really fun hike with lots of rocks. You have to climb up and down. Once you get to the top, you get an amazing view of the Las Vegas strip.
Very nice trail in Red Rock Canyon. Well marked path that leads to a view on Las Vegas. Not too difficult. Starting point is a parking lot with restroom. Round trip 4.6km with 147m elevation.
This is such a fun and beautiful trail! The trail starts out easy - gravel/small rocks, then transitions into sand for a while, then it becomes very rocky - mostly flat step-style rocks. I found the trail fairly easy to navigate but I could see it presenting challenges in certain areas if you're less experienced. The hike is about 2.4 miles but does seem a bit more tiring than expected with the various rock step elevations and requirement for watching your footing and balance at times. Note, if hiking in the late afternoon (5pm or later during daylight savings), the trail will be in the shade for 80% of the hike. Always hike safe and smart, bring excess water.
