Fisherman's Camp Trail

Keep watch of the people you go with. We lost a person but lucky found him. It’s a dangerous world out there

If you're just going to the camp then it's a 3.3 in and out. When you get to the bottom you can hand a left(South Easterly) and jump on the Tenaja Trail or hand a right(North) and jump on the San Mateo Canyon Trail. The only thing that sucks about this trail is you start out at the top so the second half is up hill. We usually like to start at the bottom. That being said it was quicker than I thought it would be. I did it in the afternoon in January so it was like 70 degrees. I've been on this trail in other seasons and if you're local you know it gets hot. It was a pleasant hike. No water on the trail and there's room to camp at the bottom. We're planning to do so at some point. Took me 1:08 and my uphill pace was quicker(think I was trying harder to not lose time).

This is a moderate hike with most of the effort returning to trailhead. Long pants and long sleeves recommended as the trail is somewhat overgrown especially if going beyond Fisherman’s camp. Partly shaded in spots. This hike is probably very warm in the summer months and I can’t imagine the snake encounters that could occur. No wildlife was seen, just evidence on the trail.
