(from Google)A few rocky sections make this simple part of the Billy Goat trail trickier in a few short sections, but nothing too strenuous if you aren't carrying an injury. Both our dogs also managed fine. Somewhere between 2 and 2.5 miles in total if you make it a loop with the canal path.
We love exploring nature. So, I give this place a 5 star.
Beautiful scenes of the Potomac. Make sure you wear proper shoes for hiking. The trail has a lot of rocky patches and can get really muddy in wet weather. But overall a very good experience.
