This is my new favorite place! It's right down the street from where I am staying now. I had so many Snow White moments here❣️

Haven't been to Legg Lake since I was a teen learning how to drive. Came for the kids fishing event with my granddaughter. Things have changed but not by much. They added paddle boats the lake and bike rental. When I was a kid they didn't b charge and now they do. It's 10 bucks on the weekend and cheaper during the week. What I recall was manicured lawn from front to back. This time around it seems only the front gets TLC while the back, where you can hear the shooting range, is overgrown with weeds and dirt and hardly any grass. I also noticed alot of dog poop, which made me a bit angry. People need to pick up after their dogs. They said they stocked the lake with rainbow trout but we didn't catch any. There were a couple of kids who did catch a fish or two.

Whittier Narrows Recreation Area is a wonderful family-friendly park that offers a peaceful escape into nature. From the moment you arrive, you feel surrounded by open space, fresh air, and beautiful scenery. The park is very large, so there is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy different activities without feeling crowded. One of the best parts of this park is the lakes. They are calm and relaxing, and you can often see ducks swimming around or resting near the water. Watching the ducks is fun for both kids and adults, and it creates a quiet, happy atmosphere. Around the trees, you may also spot chipmunks climbing, running, and playing. Seeing them up close makes the park feel lively and special, especially for younger visitors. The park is perfect for families because it has walking paths, picnic areas, and open grassy spaces where kids can run and play safely. It is also a great place for biking, jogging, or simply taking a slow walk to enjoy nature. Many areas have shade, which makes it comfortable even on warmer days. Overall, Whittier Narrows Recreation Area is a clean, welcoming, and relaxing place to visit. It is ideal for family outings, nature lovers, or anyone who wants to spend a peaceful day outdoors surrounded by wildlife and greenery.

It's a beautiful place to walk with a buddy. I enjoyed all the nature, ducks, geese, squirrels, and the calmness. I went around 5 on a Sunday. It was beautiful, shady, calm, and there was so much to see. Some people were fishing for trout, some walking their dogs and others were feeding the animals. It was relaxing and pretty clean. Look at my video and pictures you will get a better idea of the place.
