I love the wildness and quietness 😊

I played in these woods as a child, now they’re official and maintained. The trails are nice, tons of water and bridges. Mostly flat land with nicely kept trails.

It has a lot of road noise being close to the highway, but it is pretty.

This is an trail travelled by few. At least the dozen times we've been here we've seen maybe 5 people and 2 dogs total. Trail is not for the weak ankled. Lots of sweet gum balls and roots mar the trail from being a great getaway. Also lots of spider webs since it is not travelled that much. Trails run alongside a creek so good for thirsty dogs. Just be wary of the unevenness and lack of regular maintenance.

Came here looking for a place to run - poorly kept entrance and even more so on the trails themselves. The entrance is questionable and makes you wonder whether you arrived at a public trail or got the wrong directions. Not really welcoming aside from the bulletin with the trail map. This was actually reliable and we'll placed throughout the woods even the benches were a nice touch but there appears infrequent litter and random items you would suspect to be there due to poor maintenance. On that note the most concerning part is the couple of minor water crossings that are either non-existent (stepping stones over a creek) or a bridge on the verge of collapse adjacent to a metal frame that is more stable yet lacks good foot room for more than 1 person. Other than this the rest of the crossings are clean and maintained. Trails in their entirety could use some trimming and engineering for easier walking but are nice and clean enough for a stroll. It's less than 3 miles out and back though. This looks like it may be under construction or renovation but it was not clear. I don't plan to return but ai hope the city considers it - it's right along the interstate and could do alot of good for the people if they put some funds into it.
