(from Google)Plenty of free parking and access to the trail. I love this area, even if there are cars in the lot the trails are vast enough that you’re not bumping into people all that often.
Love this leash-less dog park, with several trails to choose from, it’s close to town yet feels like you’re in the country, with open fields of lovely native prairie grasses and flowers.
This place is gorgeous! There's so much more than you can see from Highway 10. The observation deck is in the most untamed glorious area - just amazing.
Minus my dog eating a dead rabbit, going in every pond possible, cutting her mouth on some field grass, and hearing the shooting range in the background, it's a great place to walk with or without dogs. They have the option to run free! However, bring towels.. lots and lots of towels. Whether it's blood or mud, you'll need them.
This place has trails through a variety of landscapes (prairie, marsh and pines). It has quite a boardwalk that goes through the marsh and a wildlife viewing platform. It is dog friendly as long as owners clean up after their pets. There are strict leash restrictions spring to summer since it is a wildlife preserve.
