Really pretty trail… the bridge is closed and there is no way to connect the trails… but there are so many other trails to make up for it! Highly recommend taking a trip to see the leaves changing! It’s stunning!

Did my long run- 5 miles out and back. Parked at the top of the trail just off of Summerfield Rd. There is a small gravel lot on the right as soon as you turn off of Battlefield Ave onto Summerfield. Plenty of room for multiple cars the only potential negative is you have to cross Summerfield Rd to get to the trail. No big deal! There are no RR or water fountains that I saw on my run but this trail is pretty long so there may be at some point. Probably some at Bur Mil. From there did Big Loop for a few miles and then back on the main AY Greenway through Bur Mil, a part of Owl’s Roost Trail (watch for bikes), then to Lake Brandt apartments. This section of trail is paved but watch for root bumps! There are multiple benches scattered along the AY if needed. Great trail, great scenery, and depending on how many miles you need, could go for days with all the side trails! Wear bug spray though.

You can walk on this trail forever . . . it seems to never end! You can easily make a 3 hour+ walk on this trail. Also saw an owl in the daytime, never seen that before 🦉. Deer are common, as are turtles, woodpeckers, and cranes . . . so much wildlife! Definitely not a boring place to exercise.

Interesting hike for myself...so I brought along my 11 year old and we explored the flats looking for animal tracks. Can you name them?

Nice, easy trail with not a lot of elevation changes. You can make it a loop by walking to the marina and taking Nat Greene trail back. Easiest to park at Bur-Mill park.
